A TIME FOR ACTION, NOT WORDS

The violent death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, in Minneapolis on 25 May has sent shockwaves around the world that continue to reverberate. Many organisations, brands and individuals are now wondering what they can do to protest Floyd's death and take a stand against the insidious racism that corrupts our societies.

As a content and editorial agency, ALHAUS supports both the Black Lives Matter movement and the #amplifymelanatedvoices campaign and we pledge to educate ourselves, address our privilege and do better to give a voice to black, indigenous and people of colour (BIPOC) around the world.

But we also know that it's action, rather than pledges or declarations, that matter now. It's time to speak up, fight for change and to actively engage in anti-racism by using our agency and our publication, ALHAUS magazine, as tools to amplify and include.

With this promise now embedded in our hearts and minds, we will be highlighting resources, artwork and content created by BIPOC in our magazine and on our social platforms, while continuing always to educate ourselves and listen. We will also be actively reaching out to BIPOC writers for contributions in the form of articles and photography, in the hope of doing our bit to amplify melanated voices.
