Take time out

For the first time since its inception in 1995, Lush has captured the mood and escapism that a good soak can provide with the launch of six bath bombs, complete with their very own audio and visual accompaniments.

Instead of opting for a quick dip, make bathing an experience. One where you can switch off from technology, the outside world and even your own thoughts. It’s time to recharge your batteries and the only thing you’ll want to pop a plug in is your tub.

For Tom Griffiths, Lush’s Creative Lead, “the visual approach to this campaign was about extending our bath bombs themes and personalities out beyond just the bath-water. To visualise our bath bombs more as an experience and ‘at-home’ destination than simply showing the product in use.”

All six of the newly introduced bath bombs are vegan and with at least one for every taste, which one would you choose?

There’s Lakes, inspired by the tranquility of the Lake District with aromas of herbaceous Siberian pine and honeyed osmanthus, for a bathtime that brings nature and the outdoors in.

If you’re looking for a disco ball for your bathtub, you’ll want Diamond Dust. Packed full of plastic free glitter, it’s Lush’s most extravagant bath bomb creation to date and epitomises the glittering heydays of 70’s disco glamour.

Luxe allows you to level up your self care time, while the hydrating boost of vitamin A-rich bakuchi oil known for its anti-aging properties makes this the ultimate bougie bath time companion.

For those not wanting to take life too seriously, the playful Unicorn Poop mixes bergamot, davana and jasmine with pastel hues to create a fun and escapist bathtime.

Treat yourself to a well deserved afternoon soak and hit the reset button after a long day with 4:20pm. Infused with 25mg of CBD and a grounding ginger and patchouli fragrance, this is the ideal de-stressor.

The recently revamped Black Rose conjures up some of Lush’s darkest bath art yet for enchanting, gothic vibes in your bathtub.

Lush Product Inventor and CDO, Jack Constantine, confirms, “I've always loved developing new bath bombs for their relaxing and immersive/hypnotising effects. These last two years have taught us all a lot, and I think one of those lessons has been self care and knowing when to give yourself a break. I really wanted to make this new range feel like a little holiday for every customer to make sure we all take a well deserved break during these trying times. We may not be able to go adventuring around the world right now, so take your adventure to the bathroom with this new range.

I've been really inspired by the individuality of what each of us find relaxing and interesting and so I hope that everyone finds something they connect with in one of the new bath bombs. It's been great fun to really imagine where these bath bombs take you when you close your eyes in the bathtub using fun visuals of bath bomb islands, impossible bathrooms and relaxing soundscapes to communicate this.”
