W3C global web experts plan technical roadmap for future of web (Sys-Con Media)

On September 23, 2016, over 550 web experts from all over the globe met in Lisbon, Portugal to discuss the future of the web. One of the biggest topics discussed was the future of web accessibility and how to expand the internet foundation standards, WCAG, to meet accessibility needs. They also developed a plan to design and implement WCAG 2.1 in the coming year.
